Our dahlias will be blooming in August for the Sunflower Experience and Cutting Garden, but they really ramp up production in the fall.
During Dahlia Days, our 2,000+ plants will be flowering their fool heads off. Come out and refresh your soul with their beauty.

Garden Stroll/Sunflower Experience - $7 per person (Kids 3 and younger are free)
Cutting Cup - $25
The cutting cup will hold approximately 15-25 blooms, and it will ride nicely in your car’s cupholder for the trip home!

We are on the SE cornerof Hwy 30 and V40/13th Avenue in Benton County —if you are coming from Cedar Rapids, you’ll turn left onto V40/13th Avenue. If you’re coming from central Iowa, you’ll turn right. You’ll see the flower field and a large grassy area for parking.
PLEASE NOTE: Dahlia Days is NOT at our Van Horne location.
What to Wear: Sturdy walking shoes—this is a field, after all!—and comfortable clothing appropriate for being outdoors.
What to bring: Your camera! If you have a favorite pair of clippers, bring them—if not, we’ll supply them.
No alcoholic beverages or smoking.
Facilities: No restrooms will be available on site.
Dogs: We love dogs! If they are visiting with you, they need to be leashed, well behaved, and you will need to clean up after them. If your dog is interfering with the other visitors’ enjoyment of the cutting garden, we may ask you to remove them.
Photographers:
Professional photographers can make an appointment to use our cutting garden for photo shoots. Cost is $50 for the first hour and $25 an hour for additional hours.
We encourage both professional and amateur photographers to come out and take advantage of our beautiful setting!
